Finished flushing the rad, refilled with correct coolant mix, warmed up the bike and ........... The fans came on and no overflow

After that installed some BikeVis led's to help cars see me, and gave the bike a damn good clean :D :D

Will put some pics up once i work out how to do that :o

Stripped the bike for a clean on Monday as it got filthy on Sundays ride, covered in loads of gravel stuff! While there I thought I'd do a oil and filter change.

Got my suspicions confirmed that my exhaust was blowing so I'll try and get that off today!

Got the exhaust off, took me a trip to the garage to borrow some tools to get the bastard off.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, a couple of people said its a nightmare. It had its moments, firstly one of the studs snapped

Image

Then on the front pipes the thread came out with the stud

Image

Then I had to sort out the mess of exhaust bandage and clamps which a previous owner had bodged on.

Image

Then I managed to take the front pipes out and admire my lovely corroded collars

Image

The pile of crap I was left with

Image

So I've got to get some new gaskets, new stainless collars. Take them to a guy in Attleborough to weld them on. Get some new studs and nuts and fit the bastard back together!

S'all fun and games!

got it MOT'd checked it all over found number plate light out ! so replaced it , must have caught the indicater wires as when i got there they never worked (wire off) loose nut on dial mount (he was good at his job) slight warp on back brake disc (not bad but there) oooopps (this means a wavey might have to go on) and i replaced the back pads as they had a chip in them (that was a bitch) all i'll say is if your pads are held in with a pin check they are greased and free !!! 31051 miles last year this year 39579 (you work it out i had to)
So all is well gonna give it a clean (while the sun is out)

Rigged up a toggle switch near the handlebars as the ignition switch on my trackbike and changed the fuel filler cap, as I lost the keys to my trackbike when I last went to Cadwell  .

Also at Cadwell the clutch slip I'd been having got much worse, so I've changed the clutch plates and springs. The old ones had hardly any wear, except on one plate, which was only worn in a very small area. There are 7 plates and one is different to all the others, it has a bigger hole in the middle to clear the anti-rattle spring. Some numpty who's worked on the bike before I got it put the different plate, and the anti-rattle spring, at the wrong end of the clutch, so where the odd plate should be, a normal plate has been running on an area about 3mm wide. It would probably have lasted several thousand miles with normal road riding, but I've been giving it a bit more stick.

They look nice Dean, but can you actually see anything in them other than yourself?!

Finally got round to finishing my race downpipes. Bought some cheap micron pipes off ebay as and had to cut and shut them to fit my yoshi can. Was a real pain in the arse but makes a much better noise now, have to have a spin tomorrow to see if doing away with the cat has done anything.
